Laundry Detergent should be stored in its original container, with the seal closed and secured when not in use. Keep the powder out of the reach and sight of children and pets. Recommended storage conditions are 77°F and 50% relative humidity. Storing the laundry detergent in humid areas can cause clumping and prolonged sun exposure can cause essential oils to oxidize (no effect on performance or scent). Laundry Powder should always be handled with a scoop.

For delicate fabrics such as silk or satin, we recommend reading the wash instructions on your garment label since these types of fabrics can easily be damaged by the agitation of a washing machine and the ingredients used in harsh laundry detergents. That being said, our founder has used Laundry Powder hundreds of times on her silk pillowcase without issue!

Here are some tips for washing delicate fabrics:

• Hand Wash: It's best to hand wash silk and satin in cold water using a gentle detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics. You'll need to wear gloves for this since not all essential oils are safe for direct contact with skin.
• Use a Gentle Detergent: Choose a mild detergent that is formulated for delicate fabrics. There are detergents specifically made for silk and satin.
• Avoid Soaking: Do not soak silk or satin for long periods. A quick wash and rinse are sufficient.
• Do Not Wring: Gently squeeze out excess water without wringing the fabric to avoid damaging the fibers.
• Dry Flat: Lay the fabric flat on a clean towel to dry. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources.
• Machine Wash (if necessary): If you must use a washing machine, place the fabric in a mesh laundry bag, use the delicate cycle, and ensure you are using a gentle detergent, such as Aembr Laundry Powder. However, hand washing is always the safer option.
